Kairi Peel Pickle Recipe | Famous Recipe

Kairi peel 250g washed and finely chopped
Garlic 8 cloves, peeled
Red chillies 1 tbsp, crushed
Kalonji 1/2 tsp
Rai (mustard) 1 tsp crushed
Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
Turmeric 1 tbsp
Green chillies 6
Salt to taste
Ingredients for Bagher
Mustard oil 1 cup, 250 ml
Fenugreek seeds few
Red chilli 4, whole
Curry patta few leaves
“Marinate the washed kairi peel in all ingredients except oil for half an hour.Heat oil a karahi, add the baghar ingredients and heat till the ingredients turn black. Remove karahi from heat and cool for five minuts. Add the kairi peel and the marinate, and cook again on low heat, striring with a wooden spoon, till oil rises to the surface. Cool and store pickle in a glass jar. Do not use wet or used spoon in pickle”.
“Ground mustard may be stored in a covered plastic freezer for several days.
