Chicken Tikka Masala Recipe

Chicken 1 1/2kg, cut in 14 pieces
Ginger/garlic paste 1 tbsp
Red chillies 1 tbsp, powdered
Black pepper 1 tsp, crushed
Yellow food colour pinch
White vineger 1/2 cup
Lemons 4
Salt to taste
Oil 1 cup
Wash chicken and drain in a colander. Combine all ingredients except oil in a large bowl and marinate chicken. Pour the juice of 3 lemons over the chicken and leave for half hour. Heat a large greased pan and roast the chicken, turning to cook sides, till all liqued dries. Just before serving thread the chicken on skewers and roast on gas flame, brush on a little oil and lemon juice. Serve with hot puri or paratha.


The quantity of red chillies and black pepper may be reduced.
For a fresh smelling kitchen take a cup of vinegar add a bay leaf and leave uncovered.
